Feeling a strong craving, I asked a local farmer for a favor, and although it’s a bit early in the season, they kindly shared some asparagus with me.
Personally, I really enjoy bacon-wrapped asparagus. We use homemade bacon smoked at a ranch in the neighboring town. The freshly smoked bacon with cherry wood chips has an irresistible aroma. When wrapped around asparagus and grilled, the juicy oil from the bacon envelops it, creating an absolutely mouthwatering dish. Doesn’t that make you want to try it?
The asparagus we received will also make an appearance in our cheese fondue. Please enjoy it with the gooey cheese.
